Keep Going (or Stop)

Keep Going

Even if we aren’t sure of the next step

Especially if the next step scares us

“Faith is taking the first step even when you can’t see the whole staircase.” ~ Martin Luther King, Jr.

Even if no one else “gets” it at the moment

Especially if no one else “gets” it ever

“In order to understand the world, one has to turn away from it on occasion.” ~ Albert Camus

Even if we doubt

Especially if we doubt our sanity

“There is no great genius without some touch of madness.” ~ Seneca

Even if we make mistakes

Especially if we make mistakes we can’t fix

“Freedom is not worth having if it does not include the freedom to make mistakes.” ~Mahatma Gandhi

Even if we have to change course

Especially if we have to change directions

“If you don’t like the road you’re walking, start paving another one.”- Dolly Parton

Even if we have to start over

Especially if we have to start from scratch

There is only one day left, always starting over: it is given to us at dawn and taken away from us at dusk. ~ Jean Paul Sartre

Even if we want to stop

Especially if we want to give up

“And once the storm is over you won’t remember how you made it through, how you managed to survive. You won’t even be sure, in fact, whether the storm is really over. But one thing is certain. When you come out of the storm you won’t be the same person who walked in. That’s what this storm’s all about.”~ Haruki Murakami

Keep Going

But only if we know in our gut, we would rather do anything besides

Stop.
